Other racist aggression in Biarritz

In Biarritz (Lapurdi), a person who suffered a racist assault on New Year’s Eve night was sexually assaulted by an Ertzaintza agent. The victim, who works as an uber guide, was assaulted by a client who tried to steal the car and when the worker dodge it hit him violently in the face and racially insulted him. As a result of the injuries sustained, the worker had to be discharged for a period of eight days.
This is a 23-year-old, Donibane Lohizune (Lapurdi) native, who was detenido.Segun the broadcaster France Bleu, the young man fled on foot after the attack and was arrested shortly afterwards by the Foral Police. He acknowledged that he had assaulted the driver and, after passing before the prosecutor, was released on charges. He will be tried on 27 May in Baiona (Lapurdi).
More racist assaults in Basque Country
This Christmas has revealed more racist aggressions in the Basque Country. On 26 December, two black women were assaulted by a number of men in Baiona (Lapurdi), and the following day, 27 December, a Chinese man was beaten by several young men in the Vizcaina town of Arrigorriaga.
