I found this book a great contribution, because it has named the variables that influence power relations, that is, because it has put the cards on the table. As a fan of Bertsolarism, I have felt that it has given us a good decoding tool, so that we can see the many forces that are being exercised in the next program.
As a Basque, I thought it was a photo to see where the struggle of the Bertsolaris women lies. To do so, I have been made the revealing point number 21, “Feminist identity: force and questioning”. The Bertsolaris women have become aware of the oppressions, they are making a collective path, and at this time it involves changes in Bertsolaris, they are receiving the reaction of many men, discrediting the collective path and advising the Bertsolaris women not to mix in feminist adventures.
Reading paragraph 22, one might think that there is no turning back. The oppression system has kept the Bertsolari woman under her feet, making her believe that exactly that place was her place. Now many have become aware of bertsolaris, and thanks to the experience accumulated in the Ez sessions by chance, they have come to the conclusion of what situations are decisive for each of them in bertsolaris: “good” or “bad” (these simple words recognize or discredit the Bertsolaris). The myth of a neutral plaza puts it in sight. When I was reading point 22 of this book, I heard it say "KLAXK!", which I shouted at. Was it a glass ceiling? Has it been a system of bertsolarism built by men in the last centuries?
