Before we go to detail the infographic, we want to present you with a data that does not exist: that of age. Who's been the oldest bertsolari he's sung at the end of history? What about the youngest?
The oldest bertsolari he has sung at the final of the championship is Txirrita (he was 76 years old when the txapela was placed in 1936) and the youngest are Unai Iturriaga (at the end of 1993) and Subai Colina (at the end of 2001).
The youngest bertsolari of this year’s General Championship is Gorka Pagonabarraga (25 years this year) and the oldest are Unai Agirre and Aitor Mendiluze (47 years this year). The average age of the bertsolaris in this championship is 34 years, as in 2017, and is the oldest average of the last 20 years: In 2001 the average age was 27 years and has since been growing (in 2005 the average was 28 years, in 2009 30 years, in 2013 33 years).
The infographic of ARGIA highlights in the history of the tournaments three main moments, according to the organizers and with the court of war: the first time, organized by Euzko Gaztedi and Euskaltzaleak in collaboration with the agents of the pre-war (1935 and 1936); the second, organized by Eustzaindia, between 1960 and 1980; and the one that has come to the present, that the Bertsolaris organized since 1986.
In each competition you can see how many people participated and how many of them were men and women. In 1986 it was Kristina Mardaras who opened the path of the female championships, and two Major Championships later, in 1993, were Amaia Telletxea and Estitxu Arozena who followed the path of Mardaras, classified from Navarra. It should be taken into account that in the initial championships the organizer selected the participants and that the final was the only one that was played, without eliminators. On the contrary, in other General Championships registration has been free, while in most championships eliminators have been made to choose the participants or the results of the national championships have been taken as a criterion.
In infographic you can see the journey of the end through the cities until reaching Pamplona for the first time. Each championship arouses curiosity about who will qualify in the final, and the infographic shows the list, as well as the quality of the new finalists in each competition, of the countries and of the people.
Among the finalists, we highlight the champions at first sight.
Which of these data are new to your camera? Did you have all the data ordained ordained, or even some corrupt belief?
