To the flower that is looking for its own light, being grasped at its roots gives shade. It's got lots of colors and not just black and white. That's why it's up to you to work the land before you sow it to shine on both the subsoil and the surface. We're not plastic.
A woman performed by Miren Gaztañaga is the main protagonist of the play Zorretan. It is presented from the beginning that the relationship with the mother always conditions and continues to destabilize: nervous, confused and full of deep emotions. Her partner is honored from behind, always with respect and affection, but with her she makes an untold decision: to invite the mother to live in her home. That will be the conflict of drama, then the earthquake will begin: if the parental relationships affect future relationships, and that has been hard to understand, and if I have built my own, and my mother told me that I was wearing my skirt, and if, like the topos, I would like to get under the earth, and I feel like undressing the couple, and if I risk going to live alone....
If so, how do we present it to the world? The work presents a wide variety of comical situations to talk about this complexity of relationships: absurd and surreal, simple and profound. It's a work full of symbols and images, full of poetry. In every corner there is something that is constantly happening and the smallest gesture has its meaning. It seeks contrasts, in turn, until it reaches all the emotions of the public, to the point of pinching, it is as tender as it is painful.
As for the style, the director has made very good decisions. From the classical theater to the totally fragile elements: throw the sand on the ground, the hanging phones, the empty boxes, the mobile scenography, the pajamas… The presence of the mother who is everywhere and the dichotomy of being and not being can also be one of the keys. In addition, it has the capacity to situate a supposedly chronological history in the present, in the past and in the future. It is not easy, moreover, to choose a trio for the drama or for the theater, which is the most common, and to bring a progressive view. That the knots generated by the braid are different and that care is given a new meaning, above all, that the personal development and self-care of the protagonist is given such importance; that the lights and shadows appear without complexes and that there is no pity. It presents at the same time the crudity and beauty of life, weakness and courage, insignificance and integrity. And debts. That those who can be so heavy cannot be associated with love. Show that the path to having a natural flower is filled with thorns, but they are necessary for you not to sleep.
If it was, and it wasn’t, those I’ve ever failed, so that it doesn’t happen again and for the next you don’t expect anything from me.
