Intxaurrandieta appeared unexpectedly in the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa. There, the GHK had convened an extraordinary assembly to decide whether or not to accept the appeal.
Intxaurrandieta, after the meeting, wrote a Twitter thread that reported what happened. It has opened up a lot and then you can read it in its entirety.
Today’s assembly has decided, with the votes in favour of the PNV and the PSE, to appeal the judgment in favour of Iñaki Errazkin and myself. The only surprise to them has been my presence in the assembly. At first, lehendakari Asensio refused to let me speak.

But in the end it gave me the opportunity to put my arguments forward for a minute.

My message has been addressed to the members of the PNV. I wanted to make you see the human side. I've asked you if, with my appeal against Errazkin and against me, we and our family wanted to leave both of us with no future.

The judgment was not appealed in the case of the Swap against the Bank, according to the same source. The argument put forward at the time was that a lot of money was going to be spent on lawyers. They knew that all the millions of euros that were spent on swaps, which the banks are charging, could only return them.

Now, with public money, and without realizing what they're going to spend on lawyers, they've decided to appeal against us, even though they know they're never going to get that money back from us. They have one single goal: to undo the future of us and our family members.

I have addressed the two members of the PNV, to see if their sole objective is to promote personal revenge against two people with public money. I believe that public money should be used to the benefit of the interests of the citizens and not to damage the lives of the two citizens.

When I told them this, they weren't able to look at them in the face. I found it sad, very sad, to defend the interests of the parties rather than defend the interests of the people and of society.

But I've also taken a positive look at all of this. Protection of citizens. I still stay on the street to congratulate myself on the sentence. And you don't just think it's the EHBildu voters who are happy with the sentence. The councillors and mayors of the PNV have also congratulated us

So I stick with that. While a few prioritize and protect the business by acting against citizenship, the excess does not match this. We are still in time to change things.
