According to Kazeta.eus, on 29 May, the owner of the restaurant Chez Patxi prevented a woman wearing a veil from entering it. Her son videotaped and disseminated it on social media, proof that will allow her to reach the courts, as it is difficult to prove this type of discrimination crime.
The trial will be held on 20 September “for religious discrimination” and the owner may be sentenced to a fine of up to five years in prison.
