Several agents call for women not to be marginalized in the mutilations of Baztan
- "On behalf of Baztango Talde Feminista, Plazara Dantzara, Jo or Jo, Baztandarren Biltzarra, Elizondo herria and Besta Batzordea, and some members of the General Assembly, we call on the Baztango Mutildantzariak group to stop making exclusions here and in any other area. They have recalled that it has been decades since women expressed their desire to participate in the Baztan Mutilations in defending their rights. "It has been a long road and of all kinds, the aggressions we have suffered from women have been both verbal and physical. It was not tender. The desire to guarantee the right to enjoy the party, dance, plaza and traditions as a woman has led us to organize and fight."
"As a result of this long struggle, we have guaranteed the equalization of dance in all public places in the town where Mutildantza dances," they say. However, they have added that more aggression is still taking place against women than against women.
