The CAF-Elhuyar awards have been awarded with the aim of rewarding the dissemination in Basque of scientific and technological research. The awards ceremony was held in the Sutegi Hall of Usurbil under the motto "Look Away". The prize is organized by Elhuyar, in collaboration with the company CAF and with the sponsorship of NEIKER. This edition has received 41 works.

Hernaniarra collaborator Iñaki Sanz Azkue ARGIA has been awarded in the category of scientific journalism by the article A small dragon on the wall of the salon. The jury has explained that it has addressed the issue of climate change "from the simple and the small".
The NEIKER Prize aims to reward the works of the primary sector and this year it has been for Aitor Garmendia, Aralar, the diversity of values and interests thanks to the work in a natural park. All the winners received 2,000 euros and a sculpture by Imanol Andonegi.
Creation grant, two jobs
The jury has decided to grant the creation grant this year to two people, to Donostiarra Jon Sánchez for his project Semiosi-genesi and to the Cultural Cooperative of Azpeitia Kultura for his work Almost everything. Both have addressed the issue of artificial intelligence and, according to the jury, both projects are "complementary and compatible". They will receive aid of EUR 5,000.
Finally, the Board of Trustees of the Elhuyar Foundation awards a prize of merits with the objective of honoring people outstanding in the normalization of the Basque Country and in the dissemination of science and technology. This year the prize was awarded to Jacinto Iturbe, for his "immense work of diffusion of Euskera and science in the university environment and his extraordinary contribution to scientific dissemination".
