From 28 to 30 June, from Friday afternoon to Sunday night, Arberatze-Zilh will host the 28th edition of the LER. As usual, the musical offer has been gaining ground, but the festival goes beyond: starting from self-management and sovereignty, it intends to be a vector of exchange and reflection. “The LER is not consumed, but it is the festival in which it participates,” says the organization. The festival promotes feminism, anti-capitalism, ecology, sexual freedom, social justice, internationalism, multiculturalism and the fight against all forms of exclusion, because it represents a plural identity.

Hola Arberatze-Zilh

The road from Arrosa, Idauze-Mendi, Heleta and Lekorne to Irisarri will continue in the Arberatze-Zilh of Amikuze.

The festival that usually renounces mass formulas, which does not want to put music into practice as a commercial product, is also not allowed to be used as such by a single people, and the change comes to be as it was done in the past.

Practical information, point by point

- The camp will have little for the festivals.

- There will be a quiet area to sleep in vans and cars.

- Animals will not be allowed in the area or in the camp.

- Glass bottles will not be allowed in the area or in the camp.

- Chemical soap will not be allowed in the shower. On the contrary, the RSI will provide natural soap.

- Carry a reusable glass.

- Poor entry for children under 11 years of age.

- Payments: in Basque, in euros or by bank card

- The RSI will be a safe space. The collaborators of the Security Commission will alternate 24 times to make the festival a safe and welcoming space for everyone.

Unified Protocol against Attacks

In recent months, the cases of people who have been drugged against the will in the Northern Basque Country have been particularly denounced, arguing that in the face of this phenomenon, fifteen associations, young people and committees have sent a joint message. These include the LER, Herri Urrats, the gaztetxe Zizpa de Baiona or the committees of Ziburu, Azkaine or Senpere.

The work on the elaboration of the Unified Protocol, which will be launched from September onwards, has called on all interested parties to participate in it.

At the beginning of the EHZ festival, the Ubela Brigade will present the protocol at Zikiro Carpa, on Fridays at 19:30.

Opening hours

Like every year, the temperate sun sessions will take place in the plaza and from the afternoon to night in the central area. In the latter, there are two tablets: the big one, called Arberatze, and the one of Zila, a little smaller.

Many musicians will go through all three stages. They highlight, day by day, Janus Lester, Auhen, Belako, Pelax and Bananas; on Saturday, Anari, Haira, Gorka Urbizu, Su ta Gar, Süne, the RTZ and Nakar collective; and on Sunday, Raimundo el Canoñati, Gozategi, Rüez-Blez.

On the occasion of this year ' s Theatre Centre, several performances have been scheduled.

The forums are also known and appreciated in the RSI. The topics to be discussed will be, among others, the protests and demands of the peasants; the projection and colloquium of the documentary Bidasoa 2018-2023; the Rifq: that is why we make a musical reading of the book of poetry on Palestine; the fascist management of immigration; the use of new technologies from the police; the colonial repression; the model of the macrofestivities; and the Basque film in Iparralde.

These talks and round tables will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Arberatz School, both inside and outside. Space cannot be reserved.
