On the latest developments
In view of the debates that have arisen as a result of the attacks in San Sebastian over the weekend and due to the seriousness of the events, we consider it essential to put forward a number of elements.
In the networks and in the context of a very interested and generalized report orally, it seems important to clarify what has happened in recent weeks: last week, GKS militants stole material from the popular movement from the gaztetxe Kijera del Casco Viejo donostiarra. Before that, the Gazte Asanblada met and were asked to rectify what they had done, which was ignored. In this context, the Gazte Asanblada expelled these members. In the next few days the tension increased until Saturday GKS attacked the neighborhood in an organized manner and hit the neighbors.
The threats and beatings of recent days are attacks on the grass-roots movement. Although these are not the only attacks that have taken place in Euskal Herria in recent days, they have made the leap to use organized violence in order to incline all of us to their own and particular political aspirations.
On the other hand, the last reading and appearance of the GKS reveals the effort to divert the focus. Although they do not want to take responsibility for what has been done (robberies and beatings), what is happening is unacceptable, even ignoring it. The use of organised violence against the grass-roots movement is unacceptable. And it is even more serious that the narrative and the discourse that they are trying to derive political benefit from these facts. In addition, ask EH Bildu and Sortu about the media focus they have, to spread the GKS discourse and to erode the Abertzale Left.
It is absurd and totally out of place to use this kind of behaviour against the neighbors who work for the neighborhood. They act with a clear intention: to strengthen their corporativism, although for this they have to go above all and above all, under the excuse of the Communist flag. These types of behaviour have no place in our towns and neighbourhoods.
The threat dynamics used by the SGS seem to us to be risky and responsible. On the road to improving the situation, they do not call for negotiation, but for blackmail hidden behind the red streaks. We are out of this kind of attitude. They must assume their responsibility for the events that have taken place; organized violence has no justification whatsoever.
