In recent weeks, the company’s management has dismissed 25 workers from the Alconza factory of the Irizar group, who are still on an indefinite strike; today they are on strike for 61 days and have denounced the police repression suffered this week at a press conference.
In addition to denouncing the repression, they have demanded from the management that all redundant workers return to their jobs; otherwise, they will continue the strike: "The workers are not going to stop accepting colleagues who have been laid off," they say in a statement. In addition, they have called for it to sit on the table to agree an industrial plan that guarantees work and stability in Alconza.
Finally, the workers at Alconza have expressed solidarity with the workers who have been on an indefinite strike since Monday at the company Irizar E-Mobility in Aduna (Gipuzkoa), in order to put an end to the situation of deadlock in the negotiation of the new convention.
