The Government grants environmental approval to the Azaceta wind plant
- Aixeindar, the company formed by Iberdrola and the Basque Energy Agency of the Basque Government, has obtained from the public administration the environmental authorization for the wind power plant it intends to build in Azaceta. In Navarre, the Department of the Environment has already reported that in this legislature 35 infrastructures have been authorized with a capacity to generate 1,400 MW of power equivalent to the capacity to generate renewables built in the last 30 years.
The processing of wind power plants in Hego Euskal Herria continues and the promoters provide more data on the projects that have obtained environmental authorization. Aixeindar, the public company EVE (40%) and Iberdrola (60%) that wants to put the windmills in Azaceta, have already obtained environmental authorization.
Last week, Basque Government Infrastructure Minister Arantxa Tapia reported that the Labraza Wind Power Plant project had already obtained environmental approval and that the approval for Azaceta was close. Each of them would have a power generation capacity of 40 MW, for which Aixe will spend 169 million euros. They want to start by the end of 2025.

35 renewable infrastructures in Navarra
The Department of the Environment of the Government of Navarra has made public the assessment of applications received in the Foral Community for renewable projects. According to the data provided, 69 requests were made under the Royal Decree approving energy and economic "reactivation" measures.
