Although the minimum service has been guaranteed since 16 March, the signatories of the letter state that the guarantees for the defence of citizens in precarious conditions are not guaranteed. The electorate are questioned by three well-known lawyers who work in the Baiona court: Attorney Colette Capdevielle, former head of the Hervé Colmet Bar Association and former president of the Anne-Marie Mendibour Bar Association Conference.
For example, they warn that some social aid is blocked, and that is why defence or information possibilities are paralysed. This situation is “unacceptable” on the part of the signatories of the letter. "From day to morning, civil, family, commercial, labor, social, juvenile and adult justice... all justice has vanished by the coronavirus."
They also warn that many lawyers are threatened with losing their jobs, adding that if the activity had been maintained it would not have occurred in that situation.
Mediabask made it clear that Member Vincent Bru will pass on to the Minister of Justice, Nicole Belloubet, the concern of the lawyers of the Baiona court.
