Rejected the wind farm projects Navarra 1 and Navarra 2
- The General Directorate of Industry, Energy and Strategic Projects S4 of the Foral Government has issued an unfavorable resolution of the environmental impact of the wind farms it intends to install in Erro, Steribar, Anue and Olaibar de Navarra.
In addition to these municipalities, the resolution also affects the municipalities of Ezcabarte, Txulapain, Berrioplano and Orkoien. These are the reasons why the unfavourable declaration is made, 120. According to the provisions of the Foral Newsletter: "High environmental sensitivity of the environment, presence of threatened flying fauna, high risk of collision with the installation, barrier effect, affecting one of the main migratory routes of birds of the Western Palaeolian in the Atlantic and the corridor of communication between the Pyrenees and the Cantabrian Cordillera, some of the key elements supporting the conservation of some Special Areas Conservation of the environment and the ecological coherence and connectivity of the Natura 2000 sites.
In addition, the Director of the Biodiversity Service has granted the Authorization of Environmental Conditions to the project to build the photovoltaic polygon IFV Naval intended to be installed at Corella. It has a power of 998 kilowatts and is promoted by Chilos Solar 2, S.L.
In the same foral bulletin it can be read that the Director-General of Industry, Energy and Strategic Projects S4 has administratively authorised the construction of the Orkoien wind farm for the production of electricity in Cendea de Olza and Orkoien.
