The performance, organized within the Izar & Star cycle, will bring together avant-garde musicians with the aim of honoring the most innovative aspect of Artze. Joseba Irazoki and Ibon RG will join the concert organized by the Bas(h) project of Beñat Achiary, Akauzazte, Amorante and Ibon RG on Thursday, 10 October.
The music of American guitarist and singer Robbie Basho merged Irazoki and Achiary to post one of the most curious albums of 2017. Since then, they have performed several performances in Bas(h) to disseminate the experimental folk and blues of their album.
In the case of regulations, classification tasks are more complicated: The Azkoitia group has become a cult group among experimental music lovers in the Basque Country since the publication of its first model in 1992. They move between noise-rock and industrial music, with proposals that have surprised listeners.
Behind the name Amorante is the elgoibartarra Iban Urizar, which in recent years has been immersed in this solo project: it goes onstage with many instruments (guitar, ukulele, armony, various percussion instruments…) and offers its listeners a proposal that drinks from varied sources.
Ibon RG, for its part, has carried out much of his career in the Eten group, as well as collaborations with other artists (Mursego, Xabier Montoia). Sestao's musician is about to release his first solo album.
