The University of Los Angeles makes available videos of the unpublished war of 36

The University of Los Angeles (UCLA) has posted several unpublished videos on its website. Among them are some significant audiovisuals of the Spanish war of 36, and San Sebastián is present in some of them. Also, videos of other towns in Gipuzkoa and the Basque Country, both South and North.
The old footage is from press magnat William Randolph Hearst, who donated it to UCLA. The university, for its part, has entrusted them to The Packard Humanities. These images of the Hearst news agency have been cleaned and restored, so they are seen with an unusual quality.
In one of the videos, U.S. Ambassador Claude G. Bowers appears—August 3, 1936. According to the credits, he recorded a statement in San Sebastian at the beginning of the war of 36, and says in the video that he will work until all Spanish Americans are safe. Another film shows a bombing of San Sebastian on August 31, 1936. Specifically, you can see a fragment of video where you can see Mount Urgull.
