Lamb pays for the sheep's guilt
Blame another person. Thus, we could summarize the main meaning of the Basque proverb in the title. And that is what the City of Vitoria has done with the Lazarraga association. As pointed out on more than one occasion by the Gasteiz Theatre Platform these days, the municipal governments of the previous and current legislatures of the City of Vitoria-Gasteiz have not complied with a significant part of the agreement signed with Lazarraga, which has made the company Gasteiz Antzokia still not open (direct consequence of the failure to process certain administrative authorizations of municipal responsibility).
Vitoria-Gasteiz Antzokia is a strategic city project that has been based since the beginning on collaboration. Their goal is to work together. And I think in the future you will also need it. But in order to do so, everyone must take responsibility.
I would ask for compensation. For not performing the administrative work necessary for the agreed dissemination of the Teatro Vitoria. For the lack of empathy of the members of the Lazarraga association and the Basque centre of Vitoria
Because the sheep, the party that has not fully complied with its part of the agreement, has not complied with the word given, and now wants to blame the lamb, the party that has done its part. For the lack of empathy of the members of the Lazarraga association and the Basque Centre of Vitoria. For not showing a will for a solution. Due to cultural inactivity in Basque for one and a half years, the inhabitants of Vitoria-Gasteiz, whether or not they are vasco-speakers. In short, because of the perverse abandonment.
The City Hall is solely responsible for this unfortunate situation and it is in its power to turn it around so that this strategic country project for all the vitorians materializes before late.
