Montes de Ayala Bizirike has published a press release denouncing the illegality of the 100 wind and photovoltaic infrastructures announced last week by the Economic Advisor, Arantxa Tapia.
In a medium of communication from the Vocento group, Tapia and the platform responded immediately, arguing that these projects are not included in the 15 Partial Spatial Planning Plans revised and approved by the Basque Government in 2020.
Aiaraldea Mendia Bizirike explained that Tapia wants to use the Sectoral Renewable Energy Plans for the development of these 100 projects, while recalling that the Partial Spatial Planning Plan takes priority over the sectoral energy plans.
Thus, the platform considers that what the Department of Economy is doing is illegal, as the 100 wind and photovoltaic projects are not included in the PTP.
For Montes de Ayala, Bizirike, the counsellor seeks to limit citizen participation in the area of spatial planning.
The platform has therefore supported the demonstration to be held in Vitoria-Gasteiz on 20 May at 18:00 in San Antonio Square.
