The Aska Itzank Animalia (AIA) group has organised a travelling exhibition for the months of July and August. Until now, the photos of Linas Korta have been shown at different points in the Guipuzkoan locality. You could see pictures of the Oiartzun festivities, which showed the suffering of the animals.
Last week the travelling exhibition was installed on the Ugaldetxo Vehicle Bridge, in the village of Oiartzun. AIA has reported that it has been attacked and destroyed, as reported by the Ertzaintza to eitb.eus. “The ropes that typed the photos have been cut off, taken from where they were and threw them into the river. AIA stressed that a few months ago a process of reflection was launched on the tradition and culture of the Gipuzkoan locality. “We regard weekend action as an indicator of the resistance or opposing attitude of some citizens to this situation.”
The objective of Aia is, as confirmed, the elimination or replacement of the acts dedicated to the use of animals during the festivities. Since its inception, it has organised a number of events and has launched a dynamic. One of them is the exhibition by Linas Korta, who wanted to bring this issue to light and encourage reflection on it.
