The Navarra Hearing has issued the ruling of the "Osasuna case", opened by consensus between the two Endesa League parties. Two of the convicted are former Betis players (Antonio Amaya and Xabier Torres) and two other real estate agents (Cristina Valencia and Albert Nolla), who were arrested in 2014. This is the first time that a case of corruption in the Spanish State has been punished, as the journalist Jon Rivas stressed in an interview in the newspaper El País.
Former manager of the foundation Osasuna Diego Maquirriain and player Jordi Figueras have been acquitted by the Barcelona National Audience of their positions.
Archanco and Peraltari, seven years
In particular, the Court has sentenced Vizcay to eight years and eight months in prison on charges of murder.
Archanco and Peralta have been sentenced to seven years in prison, Pascual to six and Bandresi to five.
Amaya and Torres have been sentenced to one year in prison.
Misappropriation and documentary falsehood
The trial in the Osasuna case started on 20 January in Chamber 2 of the Superior Court of Justice of Navarra. The Public Prosecutor ' s Office called for sentences of between 3 and 14 years ' imprisonment for the eleven accused for allegedly agreeing the results of two parties, and in the case of former Osasuna charges the misappropriation and falsification of documents were added to this crime.
