"We need a new cycle of collaboration to get out of the crisis"
- The PNV has won the general election and won 31 seats, three more than in the 2016 general election. Andoni Ortuzar referred to Iñigo Urkullu as a guide to getting out of the crisis and made an offer of cooperation to all political parties and Basque society.
The President of the Basque Nationalist Party has stated that the incumbent of today is as follows: “We have clearly won today’s elections, with excellent results.”
Ortuzar has shown his confidence that Basque society has given the PNV and said that his party "will not fail, will fulfil its word". He recalled the last "difficult" months and advanced that the next three years will also be difficult. He added that, in order to cope with the crisis, they will have three objectives: employment, social cohesion and self-government.
To get out of the crisis he has offered all political parties and Basque society to start a new cycle of collaborations, “I am not talking about a particular party,” he said.
Ortuzar congratulated and thanked Iñigo Urkullu, the hitherto lehendakari and that of the next legislature, to which he has submitted his candidature. Marcelo Bielsa has stated that it is the "guide" needed to emerge from the economic crisis.
He said that they will manage the new situation, victory, with humility, “our elders have taught us to act with humility.”

Lehendakari has reiterated the words of his party colleague Andoni Ortuzar, but he has also referred to other issues today.
