The list of games in Basque has today added a very special work: The association of Basque video players Game Erauntsia has translated the Among Us phenomenon into Basque, which has recently been created. The game of space scammers can be translated by mod, it can be easily installed and played in Basque.
Although it looks like it doesn't have much text, Among Us has a large number of words to translate with the elements and options of the menus. Thanks to the work done by community members, they have been translated from English and incorporated into the game, using the program of extraction and modification of elements that use the graphic motor Unity.
The tool used was Unity Assets Bundle Extractor Avalonia. In addition, you can get the texts in Basque to be integrated into Among Us. All the files to be downloaded to translate to Basque can be obtained from our list of video games in Basque. Here are the steps to follow to translate the Steam version of the game into Basque:
To install it on the Epic Games Store platform you will need to follow similar steps, i.e. search the game files and extract, modify and reinsert them using the UABEA. In the case of the Xbox Game Pass subscription version, it cannot be translated into Basque: The UWP files are compressed, so they cannot be modified.
In the PC version you can play Among Us without any problem: with your own user you can access the games you want, both in the online multiplayer and in the local. Yes, as indicated in the guide, it is mandatory to replace a language of the game (in this case, English); you cannot create a corner of your own for the Basque language in the language menu.
It is also possible to translate to Euskera the version for Android mobile devices: to this end it will be necessary to obtain the APK file of Among Us (we cannot offer it here) and follow similar steps. However, this version has other limitations and problems: When you have to modify the APK file, you cannot connect to Google Play Service, so you must act without user.
What does that mean? You must play with the guest account: no name can be selected, you must play outside the normal servers and in the chat you cannot use the keyboard; you can only communicate with other players with the fast chat. So, it's not the best way to play.
As the game receives updates and adds additional content, it will be imperative to continue translating the corresponding texts to them in order to avoid compatibility errors.
Among Us is just one of the games that have recently been translated into Basque. We have seen works of all kinds in Basque: Thanks to the work done by Game Erauntsia and other fans of the Basque video game, there are also official translations by the developers. Space Revenge, Magic Twins, Nuclear Blaze, Super Woden GP, The Five Covens, Hyper Light Drifter, Inside or PILE Up! Box by Box are, among others, the games published in Basque during the last year.
The Game Erauntsia Association has created a list of video games in Basque in order to make all of them known. As a small step forward, we can confirm that in the near future the list will receive even more games. Watch out for the upcoming games in Basque!
