After 100 days, several Mapuche political prisoners have ended the hunger strike. Spokesman Rodrigo Curipán clarifies that they have reached an agreement with the gendarmerie and have suspended the struggle: “We have laid the foundations for minimum dignity in prison policy.”
The hunger strike began in May, when Gendarmeria dismantled the special prison module and severed its relations with its spiritual protection.
