The mountaineers will travel, among others, the La Tejera, La Gana de Bustu or Zaldiaran Mountains. The mountain march will last for five hours. In addition, a small tribute will be paid to the families of Zerain at 12 a.m.
Zerain left a long trail in elite alpinism. He entered the high-mountain world through the climbing schools of Egino and Atxarte and performed ten ochomiles in the Himalayas. The solo ascent to K2 in 2008 gave him fame, as on the same day, nine mountaineers from another expedition died and four disappeared due to a traffic accident.
In 2017, while climbing with the Argentine mountaineer Marino Galván on the Nanga Parbat, the trail of the mountaineers was lost.
