The members of the Gazte Asanblada de Laudio have held a meeting with the Municipal Government this morning. Mayor Ander Añibarro and Councillors Juanje Merchan and Joseba Amondo participated in the event.
The municipal representatives have assured the members of the Youth Assembly that once the works of the House of Culture have been completed, they will be able to continue to use the space that the Gaztetxe houses. In addition, during the work, the members of the assembly will have a space in another place of the people, “where they can keep all their objects or instruments”. Thus, the Gaztetxe will have to be evicted on 7 January so that rehabilitation works in the area can be started.
The work done in recent months has been valued by the municipal government. “The local government presided over by the mayor, Ander Añibarro, has been tasked with relocating spaces for workshops and courses, as no plan for moving to alternative spaces had been planned,” they reported in the press release.
The Gazte Asanblada, for its part, disseminated through social networks the evaluation of the meeting and stressed that tomorrow they will appear in the Basque Parliament:
