Start the TAV cycling march to Atxondo's camp
- On Wednesday morning the cycling march of the Provincial Council of Navarre went to the camp that will be held by the AHT Gelditu movement in Atxondo. On Friday, the camp against the TAV begins. It will be extended throughout the weekend with endless activities and events.
On Wednesday morning he departed from Pamplona/Iruña to Atxondo towards the camp against the High-Speed Train, AHT Gelditu! cycling tour organised by the group. They denounce the development policy and the intention of the Government of Navarra to allocate some of the European funds to the construction of the APR to deal with the pandemic.

The TAV is an idea that is imposing on us that the TAV is an infrastructure that is already built and that there is no turning back. But far from reality. According to data provided by AIREF (Independent Tax Liability Authority), after 15 years of work in the CAPV, 58% of the total investment is still missing. The case of Navarre is even more pronounced, as after 10 years of work 96% of the investment is still missing.
In the midst of the largest ecological and economic crisis in history, they want us to believe that the APR is a strategic and fundamental infrastructure for the future of Euskal Herria. In addition to the excessive annual budgets to continue the work, the President of the Government of Navarra, María Chivite, has now said that much of the European funds for post-Covid-19 recovery are intended to finance this infrastructure. Do we accept this? These public funds, once again, will finance private companies in an unprecedented operation to consolidate green capitalism, while cuts in social affairs and the impoverishment of large sections of the population will become increasingly unbearable.
Because we are still in time to stop the TAV monster, this summer, we will be cycling through Navarre to the camp against the TAV which will be held in Atxondo (Bizkaia) on 30, 31 July and 1 August. The bike ride will start from Pamplona on Wednesday, July 28 and will reach the beginning of the camp on July 30.
