Concentration in Ribabellosa against the TAV project
- Taking advantage of the Ribabellosa Trufa Fair, the Ribabellosa City Hall has organized the event "AHTrik EZ! Members of the "Valles Alaveses" platform concentrated to express their rejection of the project. At the level of Álava, several groups opposed to the High-Speed Train have launched a collection of signatures in favour of the social train.
Last Sunday, February 2, he focused on Ribabellosa under the motto “AHTrik EZ! The ‘Valles Alaveses’ platform against the high-speed line linking Vitoria-Gasteiz with Burgos.
They claimed that in the face of the project that will pass through the Álava Valley there are more sustainable and economic alternatives, such as the adequacy of existing railway lines. The high-speed train projects avoided the tunnels and viaducts they intend to build in Álava and demanded that the quality of life of rural villages be guaranteed.
They called on the entire population of Álava to mobilize in the face of this project that is going to cause serious damage to the Alaveses Valleys, with the aim of saving ‘a few minutes’ in time.
Collection of ongoing signatures
Along this road, the TAV that brings people from the counties affected by the high-speed train “AHTrik EZ! The ‘Araba’ platform has launched a collection of signatures in the country. This collection of signatures will expose the Provincial Council of Álava to its request for ratification in the wager of a quality social train: ‘Taking advantage of the current corridor, increasing the frequency of trains, taking advantage of existing stops and stops and building new stops in the province and Vitoria-Gasteiz’.
In 2017, a study was carried out on the optimization of the railway line of Álava at the request of the Provincial Council and the City Hall of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
