Every year, about half a million migrants decide to cross the border from Mexico to the United States. Rather than going for a dream, fleeing the nightmare. The United States is a solution to escape the everyday life of its countries of origin.
This is not the first time such a march has been organised. In March, a caravan, which was less then, only about 1,000, crossed the Mexican country, and last year there was also a similar one. For a month they managed to reach the town of Tijuana, on the border, but this caravan sometimes used the bus, unlike those of now.
On this occasion, the three caravans that have been launched are still on Mexican territory, trying to cross the border with Iran. The first caravan left on 13 October, the second on 17 and the third on 23. From El Salvador, a new caravan composed exclusively of men was launched.
In the first caravan, about 12,000 people left from San Pedro Sula (Honduras). They were divided into four large groups: two groups composed mostly of Hondurans and two more by Savior. The first group was the largest with about 7,000 migrants, who went to Mexico, where they entered October 19, and a week were joined by 2,000 citizens. It says that they make an average of 40 kilometers a day Chispa.tv, alternating the rest days. The Government of Mexico was asked to set up the bus service, but the hearing was carried out. On the contrary, some 500 Salvadorans were granted asylum.
Great Assembly in Mexico City
They arrived in Mexico City on November 3. The already dispersed group regrouped, and after a one-week break, last Saturday began the part that was divided into two groups. About 9,000 people were still on the road.
The third caravan entered Mexico City on November 14, according to the same source. Despite leaving the latter, they go at a great pace, as they are less than the rest – around 3,000.
The first to reach Guadalajara, that is, almost the equator of the trip, after a month of travel. They had already travelled 2,230 kilometres and, according to the newspaper BERRIA, the group did not reach 5,000 people, due to the dispersion that had occurred along the way. Tiredness prevailed in Guadalajara, with a load of miles, sleeping on the slopes and without rest. As a result, many of them were ill or semi-ill and others died.
Trump's Response
At all times he had realized the location of the caravan Donald Trump. When the migrants were about to arrive in the middle of the trip, he ordered more than 5,000 soldiers to be sent to the border, and added to the more than 2,000 there, those he had sent on the occasion of the forthcoming arrival of the caravan to travel in abril.El president has also tightened the conditions for seeking asylum in the United States, thereby reducing the chances of migrants being "admitted". This has been denounced by the Mexican Government, as US law says that asylum demand is universal. In any case, it has not denied access to migrants, but has called for "everything to be right". It has also ordered that it should not be thrown at the military, threatening them to shoot if they are thrown with stones.
Legislative elections were held in the United States on 6 November to renew the House of Representatives and the Senate. On the eve of those elections, Trump also referred to the Migrant Caravan, the most important in Europe. He said that the "invasion" of thousands of rapists and criminals "will be stopped", as at the border the military will "wait".
This is not the first time a U.S. president has sent military personnel to the border with Mexico. In 2006, George Bush sent about 6,000 copies, while Obama sent over 1,200 copies. Trump, however, has on this occasion sent as many military as he has in Iraq to fight the Islamic State (IS).
