The CAV is on yellow warning for frost and minimum temperatures during this weekend throughout the territory. In Navarre, however, the orange alert has been activated for temperatures that will reach -10 degrees during the weekend. The Basque Government’s Department of Security will activate until Saturday the yellow ice cream warning inside and activate another snow warning as it could enter the sea level.
Euskalmet, the Basque meteorology agency, has activated the yellow warning for minimum temperatures and frost for Saturday, January 8, from 00:00 to 24:00. There is a risk of frost at some points on the coast, especially in Gipuzkoa. Frost will be in mountain areas during the central hours of the day.
It will snowfall at low levels, below 200 meters, especially on Saturday, January 8, during the second half of the day, and the snow will be seen on the beaches of Euskal Herria.En the interior, the snow will fall and on the coast you will see some flakes.
