The collective Txakur Gorria began this year’s Feministaldia with the program “Inserting artistic practices in education to spread the imaginary”. The following day, the session of the same name was also conducted by the artist Saioa olmo. On the occasion of the holiday on Wednesday, Thursday will be the time of the schedule of the holiday.
Plazandreok, a women’s political platform that started organizing Feministaldia thirteen years ago, follows the path undertaken in 2006, in collaboration with Tabakalera de Donostia/San Sebastián. As before, “Feministaldia wants to be the meeting point of the voices, creations and discourses that today are linked to feminist culture”. In this year’s edition, a “special focus” has been placed on local artists and creators: Uxue Alberdi, txakur Gorria, Maialen Lujanbio, Saioa olmo, Iratxe Retolaza, Nerea Barjola or Itsaso Ramona are some of the people who make up this week’s program at ETB-1. Beyond Euskal Herria, the program will feature guests from other places in the state such as Brigitte Vasallo, Txus García, Ana Burgos, Azahara Ubera Biedma or Xiana do Texeiro.
This year’s Feministaldia is called “Oker”, paying tribute and paying tribute to mistakes. “The Feministaldia has always looked at the margenes, at others, at those who flee from hegemony, that has been the trend of recent years. So, it's known that women*, creators, entrepreneurs, have often told us that we're on the wrong track, that we're wrong women, that we do wrong jobs and creations. That is why this year we wanted to give way to the wrong paths, to identities, to places, to origins, to women, to the wrong bodies, to false beliefs, to art and to creation. Also to mistake and to deviate,” the organizers said.
To close the organized programme, the Le Bukowski Hall at Donostia-San Sebastian will host the Zor show, a children's and youth theatre. From 21:00 a.m., several participants of the Feministaldia and other artists will offer a show created expressly for the festival. Anari, Mursego, Saioa, Lorea Argarate & Ines Osinaga, Birkit, Mice, Ezusteko Band and Dj Set will be the artists who will take part in the event.
