Councilman Alfonso Gil Denounces Breach of BBK Live’s Collateral Damage Repair Promise
- The mobilization has been convened by the neighbourhood association 'Para todos' of the Altamira district of Bilbao, on the first day of the BBK Live festival. They will denounce the damage caused by the macro-event in nearby neighborhoods and the “false promise” made by Councilman Alfonso Gil of the City Council of Bilbao to repair them.
On Thursday, July 12, the mobilization is called at 20:00. From the Association for All, they call to meet at the lower bus station in the neighborhood of Altamira, number 187 of the Basurtu-Kastrexana road.
The association warns that BBK Live causes discomfort in the surrounding neighborhoods and jeopardizes the safety of the neighbors. Through previous statements, with the aim of finding solutions, it has been reported that in recent years the residents of the neighborhood of Altamira-Arestizabala and the City Council of Bilbao have collaborated. Although they note the intention of the City Council to continue working to improve the situation, they emphasize that the Department of Mobility and Sustainability of the City Council, headed by the Councilor of the PSE, Alfonso Gil, has shown no intention to do so.
