According to data collected by EiTB on April 17, 128 deaths of users have been recorded in residences in Álava. The Provincial Council of Álava indicated that this figure rises to the sum of data until April 15. Of these 128 residents, 69 lived in private centers, 57 in residences of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and the rest in municipal centers. There are 96 centres in Álava and 26 of them have tested positive.
In Gipuzkoa, 127 deaths have been recorded. 70% of the deaths in the country are residents of the residence. 64 users have managed to overcome the disease. There are 290 people affected by coronavirus. 41 are admitted to the Donostia-San Sebastián Red Cross Hospital and 35 are admitted to hospital. In Gipuzkoa there are 65 residences and 16 of them are infected. Data on affected workers have been provided by the ELA trade union, while the Provincial Council does not count them. According to the data provided by the ELA manager in the residences of Gipuzkoa on April 15, there are more than 200 affected. This information is not complete, as ELA has no representation at all locations. Bizkaia does not provide data with the frequency of the other two CAVs. The latest information was provided by the Deputy General, Unai Rementeria, at the general assemblies held on 16 April, after the opposition asked him to appear. The opposition parties have strongly criticised the lack of transparency of the foral institution in this territory. The trade unions and the association of family members of residents Babes Bizkaia have accused the MP of mismanagement and not taking adequate protective measures. At least 157 residents have died and 20 more people could be infected with the virus at the time of death. There are 824 residents infected. Of these 824, 418 have been quarantined. 200 workers are on leave to test positive for COVID-19. In Bizkaia there are 155 residences and the infected are located in the 39 locations of the Ertzaintza.
