The presentation was attended by Mayor Eneko Goia; Ion Gambra, Director General of Human Rights of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa; Javier Galparsoro, President of Zehar - Errefuxiatuak; Ainhoa Type, Representative of Amnesty International Euskadi; and Jokuldonostia Beltrán, who was responsible for the cinematographic programming.
According to Beltrán, a total of eighteen fiction films will be included in this year’s Official Section. (Vulnerability of the working sector of female caregivers), The man who sold his skin (Refugees in Europe), Fadia’s tree (Palestinian Equation), In search of monsters (Guantánamo Prison), Les insulaires (gentrification), Lingui, les liens sacrés (Reproductive health and abortion), Malist. The girls of war (exile and resilience) in Matxitxako. Notes on the Auxiliary Navy of Euzkadi (Battle of Matxitxako), Wild North (Northern Borders), Our Freedom (Criminalisation of Abortion), Trenches (Roots of the Russia-Russia conflict) and Cow (Bioethics).
In Tabakalera, Arantza Santesteban's 918 gau will be screened on 3 April at 17:00 a.m. and the following day, Babi Yar, from SERGEI Loznitsaren. Context, at 19:00. The Cineclub Kresala (Trueba Cinemas) will host the film Flee by Jonas Poher Rasmussen on 29 March at 19:30.
Like every year, three short films will be designed for students from schools in Donostia-San Sebastián. This year, two films (Zutik! The third, Maixabel, will be screened at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre, where Maixabel Lasa himself will also be. In addition, six exhibitions are offered in the programming of the festival and the fourth Human Rights Pedagogical Resources Fair will be held at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre on April 2.
