The waiting list for specialist doctors from the Health System of Gipuzkoa is growing, with a total of 32,449 patients awaiting consultation and an increase of 3.54%. At the same time, there has been a significant increase in the number of patients who have turned to private health to reduce waiting lists in the public health system. Within four months, from July to November, Osakidetza has referred 1,128.3% more patients to private medical centers than in 2022, Naiz said. The waiting list differs considerably according to the medical specialty.
