Children will be allowed to leave from 27 April, as explained by the President of the Spanish Government at a press conference. Last week a decision working group was set up consisting of psychiatrists, pediatricians and specialists from different specialties. This group proposes that the Spanish Government should leave the street from day 27, as recommended by the Executive. It is unknown until what year it refers to children, but it is noted that they may be 12 years old, in reference to the Public Health Act.
Therefore, the proposal that the central government will make to the regional presidents is for children to leave the house and be able to enjoy the outdoors "a while a day". It has not clarified how exits will be monitored and under what conditions.
Pedro Sánchez has advanced that the general phase of de-escalation will begin on May 10 "with prudence and gradually" and will be carried out by territories and following the recommendations of the World Health Organization. Until then, containment will be maintained, except in the case of minors.
Since the beginning of the confinement, many childhood professionals have denounced that children have become invisible. Failure to take into account the specific needs of the children ' s group in the strict containment measures imposed by the Government of Spain. In the last week these criticisms have spread at the social and political level, including the specific requests of the Government and the Generalitat. In fact, the Spanish State was one of the few states in Europe where children remained closed in their homes.
Some professionals who criticize that the severe confinement that boys and girls are suffering for a month does not allow them to meet their vital, physical, psycho-emotional, social, moral and educational needs, risking their well-being, their health and their physical and psychological development, note that the Spanish Government has not taken children into account.
