The media have published more information on the arrest of the retired national police for shooting at the dwelling of a Left Abertzale family in Lezama. According to the Naiz portal, the arrested -L.A.M.A-, who had 27 short arms and 9 long, was at his home.
This media remembers that the former national police reported four days after the shooting that the man had these firearms.
The first time the Ertzaintza went to his home - on the day of the gunfire - the man declared that he had a single weapon in his house: a licensed hunting shotgun. He also showed ammunition to the agents who came to his home, where they were served by a patrol.
Four days later, however, he made known the existence of other weapons. Most of them were stored in three safes, which had been reinforced with nails. In one of the boxes 11 pistols of the brand Astra and Star were found, which were intervened on several occasions. Several parts, 17 chargers, various cartridges and delay detonators.
The Ertzaintza located eight revolver and four other pistols in another safe. In the third safe there were three revolver and one pistol. In the house they also found four sub-rifles from the brands Star and Cetme, two rifles, one carabine, two scoops and 17 bayonets.
In addition, the Ertzaintza has intervened up to 26 military elements, which appear to be howitzers, and explosives have been seized. All elements, except military elements, gunpowder buckets and detonators, were transferred to the Laudio police station. The devices were transferred to the Explosive Deactivation Unit (ICU) of the ICU.
