The Government delegate in Navarra, José Luis Arasti, the acting Security Minister, María José Baumont, and the Mayor of Pamplona, Enrique Maya, have appeared before the media. The total number of officers is 2,606:About 700 Spanish policemen (including, for the first time, twelve policemen on horseback), 796 civil guards, 710 foreign policemen and 400 municipal policemen will work in the streets of the Navarre capital during the Sanfermines.
