26 artists will work in a country other than their own
- Udalbiltza launched its first cultural project: Geuretik Sortuak project. Artists will make a stay of up to three weeks to perform their creative work in a town other than their home. As explained by Udalbiltza, this project aims to "bring the Basque culture to the corners of the Basque Country, through a dissemination circuit with creative stays and works arising from it". Udalbiltza has announced which of the 73 artistic proposals presented to the scholarship have been selected among the 26 artists and in which location each of them will make their stay.
A jury composed of ten people has selected 26 artists' projects, of which 16 are writers, 5 are filmmakers and 5 theatre companies. "In the selection process, heterogeneity of all types has been guaranteed, from the point of view of the proposed themes, their age range or territoriality, to gender equity".
