This information was released on Wednesday by the Territorial Cohesion Advisor of the Government of Navarra, Bernardo Ciriza, at the request of the Podemos group. In 2019 the Spanish Government spent EUR 19 million on the works of the TAV in Navarra. Since the implementation of the project was announced 30 years ago, so far only 14 kilometres have been drawn from the Navarre railway at 243 kilometres in length.
The train departs from Zaragoza to Tudela, then to Pamplona and then to Vitoria. It would rise to 2.469 million if the connection of the Y Vasca was made from Vitoria-Gasteiz, as planned. Another option is to do so from Ezkio, as the Basque Government wanted, but to do so the train should go below Aralar, the project would be much more expensive and coplexus, and today it seems to be discarded.
Like the rest of the works of the TAV, it is also over-expensive and Ciriza was asked how it affects the budgets of the Government of Navarra, which, according to the counsellor, does not affect because the financing of the TAV is from the Government of Madrid. However, it is not entirely true, given that Navarre accounts for 1.6% of the total expenditure incurred by the Government of Spain.
The State officials have reiterated their firm commitment to the construction of the fast track corridor in Navarre, but the investments do not indicate this and no one dares to talk about deadlines.

We have been with the "summer snake" over the TAV for a few weeks and with the possibility of linking the "Basque Y" from Pamplona, from Ezkio or Vitoria.
