January 2025 keeps the trend of the last months
Climate change does not stop, and we have marks that are breaking in terms of temperature in recent months as a sign that the process is moving forward. Research by CopernicusLast January was the hottest year ever recorded worldwide: the average surface air temperature was 13.23°C, 0.79°C higher than the average of recent years.
Although the year 2024 was the warmest year ever recorded in the world, 2025 does not want to be excluded from this competition and in the first month it has achieved absolute records. We must also bear in mind that in the past month there was a cold temporary called La Niña, which led to a noticeable drop in temperatures.

However, the record data collected in 2023 and 2024 are blurred.
