Under the motto "Tornem-hi per vèncer: independència" (let's return to win: independence) the manifestation of Diada will return this year. The Assemblea Nacional Catalana has made an appeal not to give in to the ongoing struggle of civil society and to move towards independence, beyond political parties. Last year’s edition was the most massive demonstration in Europe since the advent of the pandemic, and this year they continue with the same intent. So that the demonstration on 11 September will again be massive on the fifth anniversary of the referendum.
It will be held in Barcelona and the demonstration will spread throughout the city. The journey will be as follows: It will start on Avenida Paralela, which will start near the Plaza del Astillero, passing through Paseo de Colom and Paseo de Isabel II.aren and end on Avenida Marqués de l'Argel, opposite the French station. The three organizing entities of the demonstration will meet in the Assembly, in the Omnium Cultural and in the Association of Municipalities for Independence (AMI).
The journey will be carried out by the two routes that separate the two marked points, thus there will be two parallel manifestations. However, if there is a lot of participation, they expect the distribution to go unnoticed.
The demonstration will begin at 17:14, but the recommendation is to approach 16:30. ANC says that you do not have to register beforehand, but the organization says that later the section corresponding to each municipality or neighborhood can be consulted on the web.
They've also made a t-shirt to celebrate this year's Diada. This year it will be black, a color that has not been used so far.
