Arantza Zulueta, Iker Sarriegi, Jon Enparantza, Julen Zelarain, Naia Zuriarrain, Saioa Agirre and Nerea Redondo are being tried for being lawyers for Basque prisoners or for participating in movements to defend them. This Tuesday's declarants have denied that Zulueta and Enparantza have had contact with the so-called revolutionary tax or have issued an order to ETA, according to police sources. Defence witnesses will continue to testify at the Guard Court this Wednesday.
The prosecutor asks the defendants for 77 years in prison. Initially, there were eight defendants, but Juan Mari Jauregi died last Friday, according to the Ministry of the Interior.
Torture
The trial of these facts began in July, and the testimonies of torture for which he was convicted began to say. For its part, the European Bar Association ELDH has asked Spain to suspend judgment 13/13.
