Dazaharrazagunak, Zahaz Harro is a massacre. the motto of this year’s festivities. The official start will be given by the txupin of the Plaza de las Bollerías at 18:00 hours on June 27 and the end at 19:00 hours on Sunday July 3. During this time the neighbors and those who approach the Casco Viejo will enjoy theatres, conferences, workshops, concerts, short film competition, book presentations, sports activities, children's and adults' ginkanas, exhibitions, mobilizations...
Every day there are a multitude of activities, but as usual, the organizers and participants have the prominent Saturday: the vindictive game, the giant ginkana, the popular food and the Goateka of the Gaztetxe will be celebrated on July 2, among other acts.
From the neighborhood to the neighborhood
Harro focuses on neighborhood pride, self-management and participation. They are promoted by an open neighborhood assembly, but, despite the self-organization, from the whole program, the assembly organizes only a few activities – sucking, childrens and adult ginkanas, popular food (you have to worry about food), Gaztetxe's guacate, short competition and destxupina.
Dozens of other activities are organized on their own by neighborhood groups, neighbours, bars and shops, and the Assembly is responsible for managing the necessary permits and for propaganda and decoration work. The elderly Harro does not receive subsidies from the institutions. The only source of revenue is the input from the bars and shops of the district and the tickets sold with baskets of products supplied by the shops.
