We have recently had an architectural appearance at the San Sebastian School of Architecture. In the framework of a doctoral thesis and with the help of the architect Ibon Telleria, a variant of the knowledge of the Basque farmhouse has been presented. The contribution says that the initial construction of the dwellings of the lagar model can be located around 1450 years, when they have been dating until now in the 16th century. The dwellings were factories of the cider production of the time and the Basque territory functioned as a cider production machine, being the dwellings the unit of the machine. The farmhouse cannot be differentiated from the surrounding rural lands, one with nothing. And the hamlet and its surroundings became landscape entities.
The country's houses were wooden structures, made with trees in the area. Let us remove the stone from our Basque architectural archetype.
