In Larrain they managed to stop the construction of the gas pipeline that sought to cross Zuberoa. The famous espeleologist Rubén Gómez entered the old galleries of the Burkegi mine to denounce the deterioration of the archaeological area by the works of the pipeline. Gómez was a member of the Gaz Pars association against the construction of the gas pipeline. Against this project, numerous actions were taken, denouncing irregularities and infringements in the construction works and eleven were arrested.
