A group of protesting women in Urruña was shot by the French army. Women came together against the tobacco tax imposed by the French Government and their authorities called the army. The shooting resulted in the death of Gratianne Suhibar, Marie Dithurbide and Agustina Irigoity. They also murdered Jean Lapis, Mr. de Bixitalia, and opened his name dressed as a woman to “stain”.
