A Lufthansa tourist aircraft was kidnapped by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the German armed group RAF. The Boeing 737-200 travelled between Mallorca and Frankfurt and, after five days of drama, landed in Somalia after landing in Rome, Larnaca, Manama, Dubai and Aden. The requests included the release of AF prisoners and payment of $15 million. Finally, three warriors were killed in the shooting between the kidnappers and anti-terrorism units in Federal Germany.
