The armed forces of Yugoslavia and Croatia signed a UN-led truce. Although the Serbs kept some of the territory under control, the presidents of Tumán and Miloševiic Croatia and Yugoslavia approved a truce to distribute Bosnia-Herzegovina.

In 1993, the war in Croatia between Serbs and Croats erupted again with the approval of the United States. When Croatia proclaimed independence, the riots began in mostly Serbian territories, starting a war that would result in at least 20,000 deaths.
