With peaks and mazas, about 30 residents of San Ignacio de Bilbao broke the monument to the Blue Division early in the morning to end the festivities. The Spanish police appear and a person is arrested. In its dissemination, there was a popular protest before the police station until the person was released. In 1961 the Blue Division Street – today Larracoorre – and the white wall-shaped monument were built in a garden – in the middle of the photo. The City Council of Bilbao, when it changed its nomenclature, kept it. Shortly afterwards it was completely withdrawn by the City Hall.
