Oscar Romero, Archbishop of El Salvador, launched the sermon of the Fire. Romero was a human rights activist. In his appointment he called the country's military to stop killing people. The following day he was killed during the Mass in the chapel of a hospital in San Salvador, shot by a sniper. In 2018 he was appointed Holy by the Catholic Church.
